I had a long talk today with Colleen, the Director of Life Enrichment atGarden Spot Village, and she told me the “one thing 35-year-olds don’t know about older adults” is that they are a VITAL PART OF OUR COMMUNITY. She used the word vital. As in necessary, needed, life-sustaining. Tomorrow I go with the water volleyball team to another community and then to Longwood Gardens to return at 12:30 AM! I am still amazed at the fact that 30 other older adults are going to be up that late too. I am going to take my vitamins now.
